When your in the thick of things, it is rough.....
You may have been knocked off your best game, so to speak. It may even feel like you are struggling, in a lot of effort to stay afloat, reaching out for help, and not being heard. That's really rough and I see how stressful that can be at times. (ps, I hear you!)
When the going gets rough, people will respond in a few different ways:
1. Some people will reach out for help from the people around them. Sometimes, this works and they are able to help you get back on your feet. That's if they can hear your cry for help. This is a great method that takes a level of vulnerability + trust. The issues is, you have to wait for someone else to come along and lift you up. Till then, you are left feeling this desperate need for air.
2. Some people will seek out shelter in the things around them. This shelter can come by having the right poccessions to validate your level of success in the world.
For example, a fancy car, a nice house in a beautiful neighborhood, a cornor office with a great view in a corporation, or beautiful designer clothes that you can only buy on the rich side of town.
Other examples, a blender you bought just for smoothies that represents your self-care in health, the new engine to your car that you are so proud of having, a clean home, or your past certificate as a firefighter that shows you have strength.
These are also wonderful and a great reminders of who we are and our current place in the world. It can work as a fantastic ego and confidence booster! The issues with these are they are just things. At the end of the day, they can not save you. They are empty and the value is only there because you (or society) has given it value. That can change at anytime.
Now, for the one I see being your best bet. (The title totally gave it away...)
3. Some people will look within, dig deep, and pull out tools they learned in all their years living their life. These tools have come to you in a vareity of ways. You may have picked up on life tools in college, during a meditation class, from watching your cat's diva personality, from your firmly rooted family, or from figuring it out on your own.
These tools might look like yoga, professional speaking, writing, meditation, your fabulous communication skills, your clairty in problem solving, or your princess-like personality.
More in depth examples:
-eating well, and working out, for the vitality it takes to have enough energy to manages house + kids + biz + love/sex.
-getting really creative, almost with a childlike sense of play, and producing something brand new to the world.
-using all those math skills you learned in schooling to budget your biz bills so you have more clarity around money + where it is going.
Your tools can not only keep you afloat but get your life into motion. Your tools can remind you of your power within. In my opinion, your tools are your bestfriend in this adventure called life.
This week, I suggest you dig deep inside yourself for your tools. If you feel like your drowning, pull out every resources you have within you and start kicking ass with them. You have such a great wealth of information and so many tools! The fog just wants to keep you down. Blow it aways by showing the world you can do it.
You can do it....your way.
